Grand Canyon Brewing company

Williams, AZ

When we set out to brew a beer good enough to be considered alongside one of th great wonders of the world,m we didn't take our jobs lightly. Inspired by the Grand Canyon's epic beauty and majestic scenery, we chose only the finest all-natural ingredients and took our time painstakingly perfecting each recipe until each of our hand-crafted beers had the ideal taste and balance.

Grand Canyon American Pilsner

Our American Pilsner is a medium bodied Pilsner with a beautiful balanced body, creamy dense head and a hint of Saaz hops.

One of the most spectacular views of the Grand Canyon is also one of the most photographed. Known for its crystal clear water and 120 foot vertical drop, the Havasupai Falls is located on the west end of the canyon.

The Grand Canyon Brewing Company is located in historic Williams, Arizona, gateway to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Stop in for great food and excellent beer the next time you're near.

Grand Canyon Sunset Amber

Our Sunset Amber Ale was inspired by the natural colors of the canyon's beautiful sunset with its robust head, well balanced body and rich flavor of caramel malt.

There is no specific point to best view the canyon's majestic colorful sunsets - just good places and better places. The canyon is particularly noted for the wonderful bright colors of the sunset transforming the canyon's buttes and points into a beautiful canvas of unimaginable views.

Papago Hopago

The Imperial India Pale Ale, also known as the Double Imperial Pale Ale (DIPA) is an invention that only an American brewer would dream of - an extreme version of an existing and already extreme beer style, the India Pale Ale. In many cases, the words "Imperial" and "Double" have become interchangeable when it comes to beer styles.

Like the standard India Pale Ale, either English or American hop varieties can be used in this higher alcohol, highly hopped brew, but American hops are most commonly used and people have come to expect the citrus or pine character of American hops in Imperial India Pale Ales. No matter their country of origin, a very liberal use of hops is the key to a successful version of this style and most of them contain a lot of malt as well in order to allow for higher alcohol content.

The origin of the Imperial India Pale Ale is somewhat controversial, but many credit Vinnie Cilurzo, now owner of Russian River Brewing (CA), with the creation of the style while he was brewing at Blind Pig Brewing Company, also in California.

Papago Orange Blossom

Fruit Beers are beers that are flavored with fruits, fruit extracts or fruit syrups. The flavor of the beer varies with the fruit, but a Fruit Beer should have a relatively balanced between the base beer prior and the fruit addition.

Fruit Beers need not be sweet. Many are sour in character or even balanced between sweet and sour, while still maintaining a fruit flavor. Fruit Beers often conjure up an image of soda or fruit juice, but the best Fruit Beers can be complex and satisfying to even the most masculine of beer drinkers.

Thunder Canyon Deep Canyon Amber

American Ambers (known simply as Red Ales in some regions) were popularized in the hop-loving Northern California and the Pacific Northwest areas before spreading nationwide. Home brewers largely invented this particular beer style by creating American Pale Ales (APA) that are typically richer and sometimes darker than their APA cousins.

American Ambers have a rich, strong malt backbone but are generously hopped with citrusy American hops that provide a great deal of bitterness to offset the malt. American Ambers are sometimes hard to differentiate from APA's by color alone, as they can look very similar, but their flavor, rich in malt character typically gives them away.

Food Pairings:

American Amber Ales pair well with sharp cheeses, red meat poultry and fish. You'll also find American Ambers to be a wonderful companion to stews and chili.

Thunder Canyon Sandstone Cream

Cream Ales are one of the classic American "lawnmower" beers. They're relatively clean and refreshing without being too high in alcohol. But like some of their Light Lager cousins, they are usually brewed with adjuncts like corn as fermentables.

Cream Ales are brewed with ale yeast, but they were originally brewed by American brewers to compete with mass produced American lagers. They are also often brewed with six row barley which is not typically as high in quality as two row barley.

Cream Ales do make the occassional appearance in the craft beer world, particularly in brewpubs, but their use of adjunct ingredients like corn or rice keep them out of the strict definition of a craft beer.
