Crescent Crown Louisiana entered into the Spirit business with the addition of a Premier Global spirit’s company, Sazerac.
Crescent Crown Louisiana (CCDLA) acquires Jim Carey Distributing Company (JCDC). This strategic acquisition will help create economies of scale, effectiveness and efficiency by consolidating JCDC’s Miller Brewing/Heineken/Pabst/Clubtails/Shiner/Sundance Beverages portfolio to CCDLA’s existing distribution (Coors/Abita/Import/Craft/Red Bull/KDP) footprint throughout the Northshore Parishes.
Crown Distributing acquires Streva Distributing Company (MillerCoors/Heineken) combining the New Iberia market into CCD’s existing territory between and around the perimeter of the Lafayette and Thibodaux markets.
Crown Distributing started with 5 trucks and distributed brand such as: Schlitz, Stroh, Schaefer, Guinness, Corona, Samuel Adams and Abita.
Poydras Street Investors/Moffett Family “PSI” started distribution of The Seven-Up/Royal Crown Bottling Company to 23 parishes /counties in Southeast Louisiana.
A Joint Venture was formed between PSI and Delta Beverage/Pepsi Bottling operations “JV” in Southeast Louisiana.
Crown entered into the new age beverage market with the addition of various waters, teas, juices and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Miller Brands of Greater New Orleans (last Miller brewery owned distributorship in US) was purchased from Miller Brewing Company by the JV which later expanded its distribution through the acquisition of two other Miller Brewing distributorships in Southeast Louisiana (Houma and Napoleonville).
Heineken USA aligns its brands with the Louisiana Miller/Coors distributor network and the JV adds Heineken USA brands to its portfolio.
The JV is dissolved and PSI/Moffett Family retains 100% of the beer business from the JV; changing the official name back to the original Crescent Distributing LLC that served the New Orleans market for many years.
